On March 14th, Minister of Education and Training, Prof. Phung Xuan Nha, visited the University of Ba Ria - Vung Tau (BVU) and United Kingdom Academy (UKA).
At the meeting, BVU President - Prof., Dr.Sc Hoang Van Kiem and UKA Principal - Christian Routin, reported the schools’ activities to the Minister.
The minister said that viewing partnerships of NHG and BVU with a large number of enterprises, not only in the training process but also in curriculum development wherein businesses get involved from the beginning, he believed the gap between universities and corporate reality will be narrowed - especially weaknesses in terms of students’ skills and lack of knowledge of the working environment. “This is also one of Ministry of Education and Training’s priorities, to encourage university socialization and practical links with industries,” said Minister Phung Xuan Nha.
At UKA, the Minister observed, “UKA has done a great job in training, not only in knowledge but also in culture, skill and foreign language development for students. Basically, I highly appreciate UKA’s initial efforts. Thank you, parents, very much for trusting in the ministry and sending your children to UKA.”
“Students’ quality will generate the school’s values. I hope 20 years later when I come back, UKA students will be future talents and leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the country. I believe that this school is a nurturing place for students’ dreams of flying high,” said Minister Phung Xuan Nha.
NHG’s CEO, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao, responded with gratitude expressed to the Minister: “It is extremely valuable for us, educators, to receive support and companionship from the education sector, leaders of all levels and the Minister of Education and Training. We will continue to increase the standard and build a solid and prestigious brand for NHG Education System’s schools.”
"It is important that NHG invests in education based on long-term quality perspectives. Therefore, I believe that BVU has a foundation for sustainable development.”
